APPEARANCE: Opaque. Clear crystal when faceted and polished. Usually quite small.
ATTRIBUTES: In ancient times, Peridot was believed to keep away evil spirits. It is still a protective stone for the aura. Peridot alleviates jealousy and resentment, spite and anger. It banishes lethargy. It can greatly improve difficult relationships

Peridot also teaches knowledge of other-Earthly realms, including the fairy realm. It is a wonderful crystal to use in animal communication and healing.
EMOTIONAL MEANING: Peridot helps to remove blockages to receiving. Many spiritual people are good at giving their time and love but are not so good at receiving. These blockages are often located at the backs of the chakras and Peridot can assist in removing these blockages and opening the emotional body to receiving.
HEALING: Peridot has a tonic effect. It heals and regenerates tissues. It strengthens the metabolism and benefits the skin. Peridot aids the heart, thymus, lungs, gallbladder, spleen, intestinal tract and ulcers, and strengthens eyes.
